Welcome

Nursery

Welcome to Al-Ashraf Nursery, we endeavour to provide an education built around an Islamic ethos within a caring environment where all pupils are valued and cared for.

It is our mission to help develop children to be responsible and upstanding citizens within the community. Children develop quickly in the early years, and we aim to do all that we can to help our children have the best possible start in life.

Through the daily application of prophetic mannerism, morals and etiquettes, we enable children to develop amiable personalities, talents and abilities.

Al-Ashraf Nursery is able to offer places for 3 to 4 year olds which are entitled to 15 hours of free funded nursery education. We are also offer places to 2 year olds who are on low income and are entitled to the Achieving 2 year olds grant.

If you think you could be entitled, you need to call:

Family Information Service on 01452 427362 or FREEPHONE 0800 54202 02 (calls to this number from a mobile may be charged at a higher rate). You will need to have your National Insurance Number to hand.

If your child is eligible for funding, the Family Information Service will provide you with a letter of confirmation that you bring along to our set-ting. If you take up more than the 15 hours entitlement you will be charged for these additional hours.

Ramadhan

Ramadhan

Our Ramadhan calendar is a great learning tool for our children. It provides a great opportunity for learning math skills. Our children enjoy pointing to the numbers on the calender and counting. At the end of each day, we cross out the day with an 'x'. This is a great visual for pupils to see how the days have gone by.

Ramadhan

The iftar trolley allows children to become engaged in an imaginary play environment. They can make use of the full range of foods and become familiar with their names. Through this imaginary play, they can develop their language skills, social skills, have an opportunity to bond and become familiar with the Arabic term 'iftar'.

Our i'tikaf tent introduces the idea of worship, environmental concepts (keeping the tent clean) and provides an opportunity for imaginative play.
