Rabi ul Awwal Theme

Being an Islamic Nursery, we take pride in educating our children on the Islamic months. To build on their Islamic foundation and heritage, the theme of this week will be 'Rabi ul Awwal'. The points below are about Rabi ul Awwal or have a link with the beloved Prophet (S.A.W) in some way.

Some of the points we hope to cover are:

  • Why Rabi ul Awwal is a significant month in Islamic History.
  • Talking about the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W)'s ancestors and upbringing as an orphan.
  • Discuss importance of having love for the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W) and how this can be shown. (Implementing Sunnahs practically and following the lifestyle of the Noble Prophet).
  • Recap of all Sunnats covered since September
  • The Quraan being revealed to the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W).
  • Listening to the Quraan being recited.

We hope that in this way, some of the Seerah of the Beloved Prophet (S.A.W) will be preserved in the hearts of our children.

May the Almighty make us hold the Seerah of the Beloved Prophet as the most glorious example of human conduct and may He make it a means of us all following the Sunnah. May the Almighty accept our constant and consistent efforts.

Welcome to Al-Ashraf Nursery, we endeavour to provide an education built around an Islamic ethos within a caring environment where all pupils are valued and cared for.

It is our mission to help develop children to be responsible and upstanding citizens within the community. Children develop quickly in the early years, and we aim to do all that we can to help our children have the best possible start in life.

Through the daily application of prophetic mannerism, morals and etiquettes, we enable children to develop amiable personalities, talents and abilities.

Al-Ashraf Nursery is able to offer places for 3 to 4 year olds who are entitled to 15 hours of free funded nursery education. Funding is available for 2 year olds, and can be offered to families who are on a low income.

If you think you may be entitled, please call:

Family Information Service on 01452 427362 or FREEPHONE 0800 54202 02 (calls to this number from a mobile may be charged at a higher rate). You will need to have your National Insurance Number to hand.

If your child is eligible for funding, the Family Information Service will provide you with a letter of confirmation that you bring along to our setting. If you take up more than the 15 hours entitlement you will be charged for these additional hours. Alternatively, if you would like to speak to the nursery manager, you are more than welcome to.
