Welcome

Nursery

Welcome to Al-Ashraf Nursery, we endeavour to provide an education built around an Islamic ethos within a caring environment where all pupils are valued and cared for.

It is our mission to help develop children to be responsible and upstanding citizens within the community. Children develop quickly in the early years, and we aim to do all that we can to help our children have the best possible start in life.

Through the daily application of prophetic mannerism, morals and etiquettes, we enable children to develop amiable personalities, talents and abilities.

Al-Ashraf Nursery is able to offer places for 3 to 4 year olds who are entitled to 15 hours of free funded nursery education. Funding is available for 2 year olds, and can be offered to families who are on a low income.

If you think you may be entitled, please call:

Family Information Service on 01452 427362 or FREEPHONE 0800 54202 02 (calls to this number from a mobile may be charged at a higher rate). You will need to have your National Insurance Number to hand.

If your child is eligible for funding, the Family Information Service will provide you with a letter of confirmation that you bring along to our setting. If you take up more than the 15 hours entitlement you will be charged for these additional hours. Alternatively, if you would like to speak to the nursery manager, you are more than welcome to.

Visit from Fire services

On Tuesday 6th June 2017, we were fortunate to have a visit from 'Shirley' a member of the Fire Services, Gloucester, who gave a talk on the importance of fire safety. She talked about staying away from matches and what fire-fighters do. Children at Al- Ashraf Nursery enjoyed exploring the insides of the fire engine.

World Book Day 2017

Pupils of Al-Ashraf Nursery brought their favorite book characters to life on Thursday 2nd of March 2017. Stories were read and an enjoyment for reading was created.

Purpose built outdoors

Masha'allah, we have had a new purpose built outdoors fitted as set out in the EYFS framework, which will improve and help to develop skills in the outside environment, make learning more engaging, nurture creativity and will provide opportunities for informal learning through play. The outdoors is an extension to our nursery class room, where the outdoors can be bought indoors.
